Privacy Notice
Version of September 23, 2026
Short version: we collect very little. You can read every page of Gravira Casino CA without an account, a sign-up or a newsletter. What we do hold, and why, is listed below in the order you would come across it.
This notice applies to our review site only. Gravira Casino itself is a separate business with its own privacy policy, and the moment you land on its site that policy takes over.
1. Who is responsible
The privacy contact
The editorial team that publishes this review decides what personal information the site handles and is accountable for it. One editor acts as our privacy contact, which is also the role Quebec law calls the person in charge of the protection of personal information. To reach that person, write to the editors and put "Privacy" in the subject line so the message is routed straight away.
The publisher's details
The legal name and postal address of the publisher are not printed on the site. Ask by email and we will send them if you need them for a request or complaint.
2. The laws we follow
The federal baseline
Because we are a commercial website operating in Canada, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) sets the baseline.
Provincial statutes
Three provinces have their own private-sector privacy laws that apply instead of, or next to, the federal one for activity inside their borders:
- Quebec, under the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25;
- Alberta, under its Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA);
- British Columbia, under its own PIPA.
We aim for the stricter standard wherever the rules differ. In practice this mostly means asking for consent before any optional tracking and keeping records for as short a time as we can.
3. What we collect
Server logs
Every web server writes a line when a page is requested. Ours records the IP address, the date and time, the page asked for, the browser's user agent string and the page you came from, if your browser sends it. These lines keep the site running, show us broken links and help us turn away abusive traffic. Logs are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest.
Emails you send us
Writing to us means we receive your address, anything in the message and any attachments. We use it to answer you and fix whatever you reported. Correspondence is kept for up to one year, then deleted, unless an open issue means we need it a little longer.
Please leave out ID documents, card numbers and casino passwords. We have no use for them and remove them when they arrive.
Your cookie choice
When you answer the cookie banner, your browser stores that answer in local storage under the key gv_consent_ca. It stays on your device, holds no name or email, and never becomes a profile on our side. The Cookie Notice explains each category in detail.
Things we don't collect
There are no user accounts, comment forms, contests or payment pages here. We never ask for your date of birth, your province or your phone number, and we have no access to your casino account, your balance or your transaction history.
4. A map of our data
The table below links each purpose to the information involved, the reason the law allows it and who handles it.
| Purpose | Information | Basis | Handled by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Serving pages and keeping them secure | IP address, time, page, user agent, referrer | Legitimate business purpose, implied consent | Our hosting provider |
| Answering your messages | Email address, message, attachments | Implied consent when you write | Our email provider |
| Remembering your cookie answer | A single consent value | Strictly necessary | Your own browser |
| Counting readership | Pseudonymous visit and page-view data | Express consent (Statistics) | Analytics service |
| Confirming referrals to the casino | Click identifier passed on the visit | Express consent (Marketing) | Affiliate tracking service |
Reading the map
Nothing appears in the table that is not described elsewhere on this page. A new purpose would be added here first, and anything optional would also show up in the banner before it ever runs.
5. The legal bases we rely on
Consent
Canadian privacy law is built around meaningful consent. For analytics and referral tracking we ask for it expressly, through a banner that starts with both switches off and lets you refuse as easily as you accept. You can take consent back at any moment, and doing so stops the collection from then on.
Legitimate business purposes
Some processing is simply part of running a website. Server logs and security checks fall here: a reasonable person would expect a site to record requests so it can stay online. PIPEDA allows this kind of use without a separate opt-in, provided it stays narrow and is not used for profiling or advertising.
What Quebec's Law 25 adds
For readers in Quebec, the rules go a little further. Privacy-protective settings must be the default, so every optional tag is off until you switch it on. Before personal information leaves Quebec, we assess whether the destination offers adequate protection. And any technology that could identify, locate or profile you has to be disclosed, which is the job of this page and the Cookie Notice.
6. Analytics and marketing tags
What loads by default
Only the strictly necessary. The banner has three categories: Necessary, which is always on; Statistics and Marketing, both switched off until you turn them on. Leave them off and no analytics script or advertising pixel is fetched at all.
Browser signals
Two browser signals count as a clear no. When your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the optional categories stay off and the banner records a refusal, even if you never touch it.
If you switch them on
Opting in to Statistics lets the tool count visits and page views in aggregate so we can see which sections people read. Opting in to Marketing allows the partner tracking that confirms a referral came from us. Either choice can be reversed at any time with the "Cookie settings" button in the footer.
We don't sell personal information, rent it out or use it to build advertising profiles.
7. Who else sees it
Service providers
Our hosting provider stores the server and its logs on our behalf and is bound by contract to use them only for that. Our email provider carries the messages you send. If you opt in, the analytics or affiliate tracking service receives the data its tag collects. Nothing else is shared, except where a court order or other legal requirement leaves us no choice.
Processing outside Canada
The servers that host this site and our mailbox may sit outside Canada, most likely in the United States or the European Union. Information stored there is subject to the laws of that country and can be accessed by its courts and authorities.
We choose providers that commit in writing to protections comparable to Canadian law, and we review that choice when a contract renews.
Requests from authorities
Police or a court may occasionally ask for server records. We hand over only what a valid order covers, check that the request is genuine before replying, and tell the person concerned unless the law says we must stay silent.
8. Leaving for the casino
The redirect page
Buttons that say "Visit" or similar go through our redirect page at /liftoff/ and then on to the casino. The redirect asks you for nothing and stores nothing about you on our side.
The casino's own policy
Once you arrive, Horizonix Corp N.V. collects its own data under its own policy, including the identity checks its Curaçao Gaming Authority licence requires. Questions about that information belong with the casino.
9. How long we keep things
| Record | Where it lives | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Server log lines | Our hosting | Up to 30 days |
| Emails and attachments | Our mailbox | Up to one year |
| Consent choice | Your browser | Until you clear it or change it |
When the clock runs out
Deletion is automatic for logs. For email, an editor clears the old folder at the start of each month. Backups roll over on the same schedule, so an old message does not linger in a copy somewhere.
10. Security
How the data is protected
- the site is served only over HTTPS, with modern TLS settings;
- access to logs and the mailbox is limited to the editors who need it, each with two-factor sign-in;
- server software is patched on a regular schedule;
- no personal information is kept on laptops or removable drives.
If something goes wrong
No system is perfectly secure. Should a breach create a real risk of significant harm to you, we would notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as soon as feasible, as PIPEDA requires, and the Commission d'accès à l'information too where Quebec residents are affected. Every breach, however small, goes into an internal record that we keep for 24 months.
11. Children
This is a site about gambling, meant for adults of legal age in their province.
If a minor has written to us
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. A parent or guardian who finds that a child has emailed us can ask for that message to be deleted, and it will be.
12. Your rights
Under PIPEDA and the provincial statutes you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- have inaccurate details corrected;
- withdraw consent you gave earlier, which for cookies takes one click in the footer;
- ask how and why we used your information.
Quebec residents also have the right to ask that information be deleted once it is no longer needed and, in some cases, to receive it in a portable format.
How to make a request, step by step
- Email the editors with "Privacy" in the subject.
- Say which right you want to use: a copy, a correction, a deletion or an explanation.
- Tell us which address you wrote from, or roughly when you visited, so we can find the records.
- Expect a confirmation within two business days and a full answer within 30 days.
A follow-up question is possible, just to make sure we are handing information to the right person. There is no fee.
What an access request returns
For most readers the answer is short: the emails you exchanged with us, plus any log lines tied to an IP address you give us, provided they are still within the 30-day window. We send it as a plain text file or a PDF, whichever you prefer.
Where we hold nothing at all, we say so in writing.
If you are unhappy with our answer
Complaints about how a Canadian business handles personal data go to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca. In Quebec, the regulator is the Commission d'accès à l'information. Alberta and British Columbia have their own information and privacy commissioners too.
We'd appreciate the chance to fix the problem first, but you don't have to come to us before going to them.
13. Updates
How changes are announced
When we change how the site handles data, we revise this page and the date shown with it. A new optional tool would appear in the banner as a category you can refuse before it ever loads.
Earlier versions of this notice are kept on file. Ask and we will send the text that applied on a given date, which helps if you are comparing what changed since your last visit.
